Acanthosis nigricans

Skin condition characterised by thickening and darkening of skin in folds (armpits, neck, groin). A classic sign of insulin resistance, often associated with NAFLD and type 2 diabetes. In functional naturopathy, it points to a glycaemic and hepatic assessment.
