    Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB)

    Highly selective interface between the brain and blood circulation, formed by endothelial cells joined by tight junctions. It regulates nutrient exchange, protects against toxins, and controls Aβ clearance via P-gp and LRP1 transporters.
