    Glycaemic load

Measure that combines the glycaemic index of a food and the amount of carbohydrates it contains per serving. More precise than glycaemic index alone for evaluating the real impact of a meal on blood sugar and insulin levels. A high glycaemic load is associated with worsening acne via increased IGF-1 and androgens.
