    Standardised extract

Plant preparation whose active compound content is guaranteed and consistent from one batch to another. Example: a valerian extract standardised to 0.8% valerenic acid contains exactly this proportion in every dose. It is the most important quality criterion in herbal medicine, distinguishing a clinically evaluated product from a simple plant powder.
