Glucagon-Like Peptide 1. Hormone secreted by intestinal L cells in response to carbohydrates and fatty acids. Stimulates insulin, slows gastric emptying and signals satiety. Target of analogues such as semaglutide. Neuropods can also release it locally, alongside the vagal signal.
