Drug interactions

Modification of a medication's effect by another substance (drug, plant, food, dietary supplement). Interactions can be pharmacokinetic or pharmacodynamic. In phytotherapy, interactions are often underestimated as plants are perceived as harmless. All prescribing healthcare professionals must be informed of any plant or supplement use.
