Probiotics / Prebiotics
Probiotics are living micro-organisms that, in sufficient quantity, provide a benefit to the host (Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium). Prebiotics are non-digestible dietary fibres that selectively nourish beneficial bacteria (inulin, FOS from garlic, onion, artichoke, chicory). Without prebiotics, probiotics survive little in the intestine. Both act on the gut-skin axis and can reduce skin inflammation.
