Phosphorylated form of the tau protein detectable in plasma. A blood biomarker for Alzheimer's available in France since late 2025, it reflects tau hyperphosphorylation and correlates with amyloid pathology and clinical stage. A positive test alone does not confirm diagnosis but prompts further investigation.
