SIFO
Small Intestinal Fungal Overgrowth. A proliferation of fungi (often Candida) in the small intestine. Symptoms closely resemble SIBO (bloating, gas, postprandial discomfort) but treatment differs. Diagnosed by jejunal aspiration, still poorly codified, often raised when treated SIBO does not improve.
