2-methyl-3-buten-2-ol
Active metabolite of hops (Humulus lupulus) derived from the degradation of 2-methyl-3-butenol. Acts on the central nervous system, producing a documented sedative effect. Its presence in hop cones explains the soporific properties of this plant, independently of its brewing use.
