    Gingerols

Active phenolic compounds in fresh ginger, responsible for its pungent taste. When cooked, they transform into shogaols, more potent on the anti-inflammatory level. Both forms inhibit the COX and LOX inflammation pathways. Documented prokinetic effect: accelerate gastric emptying and reduce nausea. (Source: Mashhadi et al., 2013, Int J Prev Med)
