Magnesium glycinate
Chelated form of magnesium bound to glycine, an amino acid. Among magnesium supplementation forms, glycinate shows excellent bioavailability and very good digestive tolerance. Glycine itself has calming properties via glycinergic receptors in the central nervous system, making magnesium glycinate particularly suitable for people with stress or sleep disorders. To be distinguished from magnesium oxide, poorly bioavailable, and bisglycinate, which is a doubly chelated form with similar properties.
