SIRT1 (Sirtuin 1)

Deacetylase enzyme of the sirtuin family, regulating the cellular stress response, DNA repair, inflammation and energy metabolism in keratinocytes. Its activation by resveratrol slows skin ageing at the molecular level. It is also activated by caloric restriction and physical exercise.
