Mother tincture

Phytotherapy galenic form obtained by maceration of fresh plant in alcohol at a fixed ratio (usually 1:10). Its active compound content varies with plant quality, growing soil and extraction method. Unlike a standardised extract, it does not guarantee a precise, constant active compound concentration.
