    Regulate our stress, without suppressing it

    Stress is not the enemy, our inability to exit it is. Five physiological levers usually explain why some recover fast and others burn out: the HPA axis, the vagus nerve, magnesium, our sleep, and the careful use of adaptogenic plants. Let's walk through the subject.

    The HPA axis, conductor of cortisol. The drives release on a precise rhythm: high in the morning to wake us, low in the evening to let us sleep. Under chronic stress, this profile flattens or flips. We wake exhausted, run the day on coffee, and at night we cannot switch off. Restoring this rhythm is often the first step, before any supplement.

    The vagus nerve, return to calm. The is the parasympathetic branch that brings the body back to a recovery state. Its health is measured by , heart rate variability.
